3D movies: 12% of viewers complain of nausea and headaches
A recent study may roughly 12 percent or six million Britons 3D movies and games do not enjoy the right. They complain of health problems such as nausea and headache. The problem however, is not triggered by 3D, but only thus noticeable.
Around 12 percent of Britons suffer from a disorder of binocular vision. This leads to problems in the perception of 3D movies and games to health and edge effects such as nausea and headache. Alone in Great Britain may therefore not pleased about six million people really on the current 3D hype. This is apparent to a recent study by the British Eyecare Trust. There are estimated by similar percentages.
The problem is not unique to 3D images. Often, these problems also make noticeable in everyday life, for example, in the eyes when reading text on screen tire easily. While compensated in this case, the human brain the malfunction of the eyes, occurs when observing an overload of 3D material. This is not harmful, but treatable already. In a normal eye examination, this can be diagnosed and treated in doubt then.
Even spectacles can help here. Due to the compensation of visual impairment of the brain of many patients do not even know that something is wrong with her eyes. The symptoms are occurring rather signs of congestion of the brain. In 3D this perception comes just a quick – or the compensation is no longer sufficient and the 3D effect can not be exercised. Extrapolating the values of the study on the German population by then this country would have nearly 10 million people affected.
