The Jetpack modules can now interact with the toolbar, history and bookmarks from Firefox. A final test version before … the complete release of this tool.
Jetpack is an add-on allowing developers to easily create extensions for the Firefox web browser. The control of Jetpack is accessible to anyone who knows web languages like HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
This product is quickly gaining popularity. Last November, the gallery had 34 official add-ons. It now has nearly 280 and some have been downloaded thousands of times.
The Mozilla Labs unveiled a new version of Jetpack, stamped 0.8.1. In version 0.6 the ability to create menus was added and in 0.7 you were able to create a presentation page for the extensions. With the amazing 0.8, programmers can add items to the toolbar in Firefox. It is also possible to manipulate the browser history and bookmarks.
Jetpack is now almost completed in terms of functionality. The developers plan however is to update this product completely. There will be more extensible and it will be more secure. The Jetpack modules are also compatible with all products of Mozilla: Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, etc.
