New hard drives from Hitachi Travelstar 7K500

Hitachi today announced the 5th Generation of the new 2.5 inch hard drives of the Travelstar 7K500 Series, and the new drives will appear in the sizes of 120GB – 500GB storage space and are fitted next to an interface with a 16MB buffer SATA 3.0Gbps.

There is also added a power consumption of 0.69 watts in idle mode and 1.8 watts at labor steps and there is a hardware-based data decryption of data. As early as next month to appear larger quantities of the new hard drives on the market.
