PCI Express 3.0: Appears later than thought

In addition to USB 3.0 is also available in the foreseeable future, the new PCI Express 3.0 standard will appear, but there are now about this new information. The PCI Special Interest Group have now announced that it would give the ultimate to PCI Express 3.0 specifications, known only in 2010 and therefore probably fall release date for the full year 2009 in the water.

There is still the same bad news, since the introduction of PCI Express 3.0 is not planned before 2011 and thus the new technology will find nothing on the motherboard until further notice. So far, everything suggests that PCI Express will support a range of 8.0GBps and thus even a good piece will be faster than PCI Express 2.0 5Gbps. Furthermore, there will be a 128-bit and 130-bit encoding and not as in PCI Express 2.0 only an 8 – or 10-bit encoding.
